Between fallen trees and flooded planes
A week in images #3
Dear All,
I’d planned to share a recipe this week - something warming for these grey February days. But Storm Nils had other ideas.
Wednesday brought fallen trees, flooded fields and no electricity for days. With no power for photographing food, I took my camera (and Edie) to see the poplars near Montesquieu. The fields had become lakes, as trees stood in water that shouldn’t be there, creating these scenes of line and light.
The recipe will come soon, since the electricity arrived today.
But for now, there’s a beauty in the structures that fall to reveal what was always underneath. Sometimes it’s just mud, but sometimes it’s light on water where we never knew to look…
Until next time,
Much love Tamsin x

Those photos are amazing; I have been thinking of you in Kate Hill's area -- that is where you are, I think? Aveyron was hit fairly heavily as well, but it has not been as extreme as in the Lot et Garonne, although a few cities got some flooding.
Beautiful Tamsin, thank you for sharing
